ReviewDone (“we”, “our”, “us”) is Bangladesh's business review and directory platform. We help people discover, evaluate, and connect with trusted businesses while giving merchants tools to showcase reputation — including proofed ReviewDone reviews and, where enabled, feedback linked from Google, Facebook, Instagram, and business websites.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information when you browse listings, write reviews, manage a business profile, subscribe to Premium, or otherwise use ReviewDone. For platform rules, see our Terms & Conditions.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use ReviewDone, we may collect the following categories of information:
Account information
- Name and email address (for example when you sign in with Google)
- Profile photo, if provided by your sign-in provider
- Account role (shopper, business owner, or administrator)
- Account creation and update timestamps
Review information
- Star rating, title, review text, and purchase date
- Display preference (real name or anonymous verified buyer)
- Uploaded proof files (images or videos)
- Edit history, including edited-at timestamps shown publicly
- Reactions and comments you submit on reviews, where enabled
Business listing & profile information
- Shop or page name, category, slug, logo, and description
- Website and social profile URLs (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and similar)
- Premium profile content such as banner images, promotions, contact phone, address, WhatsApp, email, and business hours
- Public replies you post to customer reviews
- Business ownership claim details submitted for verification
Third-party review entries
When a Premium business (or an administrator on their behalf) adds third-party reviews, we store:
- Platform origin (Google, Facebook, Instagram, or website)
- Review text, star rating, review date, and original source URL
- Which account added the entry and when it was created
- Admin moderation status if a review is hidden from the public site
We validate link format and platform rules. We do not automatically download the full original review from external sites; the business owner or admin summarizes or pastes the content on ReviewDone.
Subscription & payment information
- Selected Premium plan period and enabled feature flags
- Payment method type (for example bKash, Nagad, or bank transfer), transaction reference, amount paid, and optional payment notes you submit
- Approval or rejection status and related admin review notes
We do not store full mobile-wallet PINs or bank login credentials. Payment processing happens outside ReviewDone through the method you choose.
Website embed & QR tools
- Embed configuration, allowed website domains, and embed key metadata
- Aggregated rating and review counts served to embedded widgets
- QR review links generated for Premium shops (pointing to ReviewDone)
Usage, analytics & technical information
- Session and authentication cookies
- An anonymous visitor identifier cookie used to count unique shop page visits without requiring login
- Aggregated shop page view counts displayed on listings
- Browser and device information collected through Google Analytics when enabled (see Section 11)
- Server logs, security signals, and abuse-prevention data
2. Reviews, Proof & Publication
Publication: ReviewDone reviews are published immediately after submission when purchase proof is provided. We do not require manual pre-approval before a review goes live on a shop page.
Editing: You may update your own published reviews from your dashboard. Edits are stored and may show an edited date publicly. Users cannot delete published reviews through self-service; see our Terms & Conditions.
Moderation: After publication, we monitor reviews for spam, abuse, threats, defamation, or policy violations. ReviewDone may flag, hide, or remove content that breaks our rules. Shop owners cannot pay to remove or suppress legitimate ReviewDone reviews.
3. Business Listings & Premium Features
Business owners may create or claim listings on ReviewDone. Free listings include a public profile, logo, and proofed customer reviews. Premium subscriptions unlock additional marketing and profile tools described on our pricing page, including banner sliders, SEO description fields, promotion badges, contact details, website embed widgets, branded review QR codes, and third-party review pages.
Information you choose to publish on your listing (for example phone number or address on a Premium profile) is displayed publicly on ReviewDone and may appear in search engines. Do not add contact details you are not comfortable sharing publicly.
4. Third-Party Reviews
Premium merchants may add links to reviews that already exist on Google, Facebook, Instagram, or their own website. Each platform can have a dedicated public page on ReviewDone showing the summarized review text, rating, date, and link to the original source.
Third-party review URLs must match platform rules and can only be used once across ReviewDone. Our administrators may hide entries that are broken, mismatched, or from the wrong site; hidden entries remain visible to the shop owner in their dashboard with a moderation flag.
Third-party review content is supplied by business owners or administrators. ReviewDone is not the original publisher of external platform reviews and does not control content hosted on Google, Meta, or other third-party sites.
5. Website Embed Widget
Premium businesses may embed a ReviewDone ratings widget on websites they control. We store allowed domain names and an embed key to serve public rating summaries to those sites. The widget displays aggregated ReviewDone reputation data — not private proof files or account details.
Shop owners can rotate embed keys from the business dashboard. If you visit a third-party website that uses our embed, that site's own privacy practices also apply.
6. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate accounts, authenticate users, and provide platform features
- Publish and display reviews, shop profiles, and directory listings
- Store and review purchase proof for fraud prevention and moderation
- Process business ownership claims and subscription payments
- Enable owner replies, reactions, comments, and reviewer recognition
- Validate, display, and moderate third-party review entries
- Serve embed widgets and QR review tools for Premium merchants
- Measure aggregated traffic, improve performance, and understand usage
- Enforce community guidelines and respond to reports or legal requests
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and keep audit logs for admin actions
7. Proof Files
Proof files (receipts, order screenshots, delivery confirmations, and similar) support review authenticity and moderation. They are stored securely on our infrastructure (including private object storage).
By default, proof is not shown publicly unless you mark specific files as public or our moderation team determines public display is necessary for transparency or enforcement. We recommend blurring personal identifiers (phone numbers, full addresses, payment card numbers) before upload.
8. Public Information
The following may appear publicly on ReviewDone:
- Review text, rating, and publication or edited date
- Your display name, or an anonymous verified-buyer label
- Reviewer recognition badge (when you post under your real name and meet program thresholds)
- Proof images or videos you mark as public
- Business replies to reviews
- Reactions and comments from logged-in users, where enabled
- Shop profile information you or the listing owner publish (name, category, description, logo, banners, promotions, and Premium contact fields)
- Third-party review summaries, ratings, dates, and links to original sources (when not hidden by moderation)
- Aggregated star ratings and review counts on listings and embeds
Email addresses, private proof files, payment transaction details, and embed keys are not shown on public shop pages.
9. Reviewer Recognition
If you earn reviewer recognition (for example, Rising Reviewer or Gold Reviewer), we process your count of eligible published reviews to determine your tier and show badges on applicable public reviews when you post under your real name.
Recognition levels are automated and may change over time.
10. Cookies, Analytics & Visit Counts
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and protect account sessions
- Remember preferences where applicable
- Assign an anonymous visitor identifier to count unique shop page views (typically one count per shop per visitor within a session window)
- Help prevent abuse and automated traffic inflation
When configured, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregated site usage (such as pages visited and general device or browser characteristics). Google's processing is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. You can limit cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work without essential session cookies.
11. Third-Party Services
ReviewDone relies on third-party services to operate, including:
- Google Sign-In — for authentication (name, email, profile image)
- Google Analytics — for aggregated usage statistics, when enabled
- Cloud hosting and storage providers — to host the platform and store images, proof files, and shop media
- External review platforms— when you follow a third-party review link from ReviewDone, that platform's terms and privacy policy apply on their site
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
12. Data Security & Retention
We take reasonable measures to protect user data, including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS)
- Restricted access to private proof, payment records, and admin tools
- Authentication for account and business dashboard actions
- Moderation workflows and audit logging for sensitive admin actions
We retain information for as long as needed to operate ReviewDone, comply with law, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. This may include keeping review content, proof metadata, moderation logs, or payment records after account deletion where retention is legally required or reasonably necessary for platform integrity.
13. Your Rights & Requests
You may contact us to request:
- Access to or correction of account information
- Account deletion
- Clarification about how your review, proof, or listing is handled
- Review of content that violates our policies
Published ReviewDone reviews generally cannot be deleted by users after posting. Third-party review entries may be removed or hidden by administrators or by the listing owner where Premium tools allow. We may retain certain records for fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance even after account deletion.
14. Legal Disclosure
We may disclose information when required by:
- Applicable law in Bangladesh
- Valid court orders or legal process
- Law enforcement requests we are legally obliged to honor
15. Children
ReviewDone is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
16. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy as ReviewDone adds features or as legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of ReviewDone after updates means you accept the revised policy.
